Every project has something worth communicating. At Sound & Rhythm Studio, we bring together thoughtful storytelling, striking visuals, and an experienced production approach to create videos that connect with their audience.
A CREATIVE PERSPECTIVE SHAPED BY MUSIC, PEOPLE, AND PLACE
Led by filmmaker and musician Clifford Koufman, Sound & Rhythm Studio brings a distinctive musical sensibility to visual storytelling. Our experience has taken us from Nashville studios and New York lofts to New Orleans recording sessions and villages in West Africa, working with remarkable artists and capturing stories in the places where they unfold.
We believe exceptional production is about more than beautiful images. It’s about listening, understanding the purpose of a project, and knowing how to capture the moments that matter. Whether we’re producing a polished corporate video, documenting a live performance, or developing a feature film, we bring the same care, creativity, and attention to detail to every project.

CURRENT PROJECTS
Bolokada Condé: Rhythms of West Africa
We traveled to Guinea, West Africa, to film master drummer Bolokada Condé and his ensemble performing 13 traditional rhythms in the places where this music originated. Back in our Nashville studio, we filmed Bolokada sharing the history of each rhythm and demonstrating its djembe and dundun parts, creating a comprehensive video series that brings the music, its traditions, and its teaching together.
Living Music
Living Music began with a road trip to New Orleans, where we filmed drummer and composer Ra Kalam Bob Moses connecting with musicians whose lives and music he had helped shape—some meeting him for the first time. The journey then took us to New York to explore his roots and the places that shaped him. Now in post-production, this unscripted feature film includes conversations with beloved icons like Pat Metheny and Jack DeJohnette, a New Orleans recording session featuring legends Bill Summers and Johnny Vidacovich, and an intimate look into the world of one of the greatest under-the-radar artists of our day.
SELECTED WORK
American Patchwork Quartet — Grand Ole Opry Debut
A behind-the-scenes look at Grammy-winning American Patchwork Quartet’s Grand Ole Opry debut in Nashville, featuring conversations with the musicians and moments from their performance. Filmed and produced by Clif Koufman.
Janelle — ’Cause You Loved Me
A music video for Nashville artist Janelle, produced, filmed, and edited by Sound & Rhythm Studio.
