Bolokada Condé in Nashville: West African Drumming Workshops
Learn Traditional Rhythms from a Grandmaster Djembefola. If you’re in Nashville (or can get here), you do not want to miss this! This is a rare chance to learn West African drumming from Bolokada Condé, one of the greatest living djembefolas (master djembe players) from Guinea. Bolokada is not only a master drummer but an exceptional teacher as well.
Spending time with a master offers an opportunity to experience deeper layers of wisdom, and learn firsthand about the cultural backgrounds of the rhythms. What makes Bolokada extraordinary is his ability to make complex rhythms feel natural and accessible—unlocking layers of tradition that few people have experienced.
Bolokada is known for his joyful energy, deep knowledge, and generous teaching style, making his workshops inspiring for drummers of all levels. Whether you’re new to the djembe or an experienced player, these workshops will challenge and expand your rhythmic understanding.
